About Vitality Hub
Welcome
Welcome to Vitality Hub.
My name is Dennis, and I created this website because I believe people deserve clear, balanced health information based on evidence rather than hype. My goal is not to tell you what to think, but to help you better understand the evidence so you can make informed decisions about your own health.
Why I Created Vitality Hub
Health has been a lifelong interest of mine.
Over the years I have worked as a gym manager, qualified as a personal trainer, and spent decades reading, researching and learning about exercise, nutrition and healthy ageing. Like many people, I've watched health advice change dramatically. Some ideas have stood the test of time, while others have been replaced as scientific knowledge has improved.
I've also watched health information become increasingly confusing. Headlines often promise quick fixes, miracle foods and revolutionary breakthroughs, yet many claims fail to stand up to careful examination. That experience reinforced my belief that good health advice should be guided by evidence rather than fashion.
Science continues to evolve. As better evidence becomes available, our understanding changes, and good health advice should change with it. Vitality Hub was created to reflect that philosophy.
What You'll Find Here
The articles on this website are written to explain health topics in plain English. Whether the subject is exercise, nutrition, inflammation, sleep, oxidative stress or healthy ageing, my aim is to make the science understandable and relevant to everyday life.
Rather than simply telling you what to eat or how to exercise, I want to explain why the evidence points in a particular direction. My hope is that you'll finish each article with a better understanding of the topic and the confidence to make informed decisions for yourself.
You'll also find book reviews and recommendations that reflect my own reading and assessment rather than sponsorship or commercial influence.
My Approach
I don't believe there are quick fixes or miracle solutions.
Good health is usually built through consistent habits, informed decisions and a willingness to keep learning. Regular physical activity, nutritious food, quality sleep, stress management and maintaining muscle as we age remain some of the strongest foundations for long-term health.
Whenever possible, I encourage readers to look beyond headlines, question extraordinary claims and consider the quality of the evidence before accepting them as fact.
A Personal Note
Although this website draws on my own experience and many years of study, it is not intended to replace professional medical advice. Every person is different, and what is appropriate for one individual may not be appropriate for another.
If you're interested in the experiences that shaped my own interest in health, including my personal medical journey, you'll find that story on the My Health Journey page.
Whether you're beginning your health journey or simply looking for reliable information, I hope Vitality Hub helps you better understand your body, question common myths and make informed decisions that support your long-term health.
Thank you for visiting, and I hope you enjoy exploring the site.
